How to Fix Bricked Android Phones and Tablets

Part 1: Why your Android tablets or phones get bricked?

If you think that your Android device is bricked but are not sure what happened, we have a complete list of possible reasons:

Your Android device update was interrupted before it was completed; bricking is more likely to happen when the update procedure specified that it should not be interrupted. The interruption can be in the form of a power failure, user intervention or a partially overwritten and unusable firmware.

Installing erroneous firmware or trying to install the wrong firmware on the wrong hardware. Installing a firmware from a different region can also cause Android devices to brick.

Malicious software and any harmful software can cause bricking.

Step 1: Launch Wondershare Dr.Fone

Part 3: How to fix bricked Android devices

There are no specific Android unbrick tool to fix bricked Android devices. Fortunately, there are a few ways to unbrick them depending on the problems that you are facing. Just remember to retrieve all of your data before doing anything because it may be overwritten.

Wait a while

If you have just installed a new ROM, wait at least 10 minutes because it will take some time for it to 'adjust' to its new ROM. If it still is not responding, take out the battery and reset the phone by holding down the "Power" button for 10 seconds.

Fix bricked Android that is stuck in a boot loop

If your Android device keeps on rebooting when you are trying to install a new ROM, put your device in "Recovery Mode". You can do so by pressing the "Volume +", "Home" and "Power" buttons simultaneously. You will be able to see a menu list; use the "Volume" buttons to scroll up and down the menu. Find "Advanced" and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Return to the main screen and select "Wipe Cache Partition" then "Wipe Data/Factory Reset". This will delete all of your settings and apps. It will use the right ROM.Reboot execution file to fix your device.

Contact the manufacturer for service

If your Android still does not work, contact your manufacturer for the nearest service centre to fix bricked Android device. They should be able to return your device to its original state.
